    Qld trip and floods

We leave for Queensland on the 24th and plan to go via Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett, Moree, Goondiwindi, Millmerran, and then to Caloundra.
The worry is whether the floods will not ease for the next 3 weeks, at the moment we can't get to Broken Hill let alone the rest of the way. It has been suggested to go to Tennant creek and through Mt Isa.
Anyway I have fingers crossed that the abnormal rainfall will stop. Come to think of it we need it in WA!!

Very slow moving water through that area, will make it very tough/impossible.

Check Pt Augusta, Leigh Ck, Strez Track, Innaminka, Jackson, Quilpie, Charleville, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast. You can avoid Brisbane by going via Esk and Kilkoy from Toowoomba. It's a lot shorter than via Mt Isa.

That may not be so easy either, Cooper Developmental road closed due to flooding and the Cooper at Windorah is rising again. Certainly no shortage of water or flooding in the eastern states at the moment
