Just got back from two day trip up to Dargo and then accross to Licola ran accross a convoyof Defenders,Disco's and i believe two Classic Range Rovers headed from Licola to Dargo. Didn't get to find out if it was a group from this forum or not they all said hello so that was good. Very wet and windy two days but the Rangie didn't miss a beat.

Yes back in town till Wednesday arvo then off to Indonesia for ten days. I am trying to get a rear bar made and to modify the winch bar need to be able to hang the water bag some where. So any time after 5.00pm for a coldie would be fine. Was trying to find out if it was an organised group from this forum that i ran into up Licola way.
Hi, That was probably us, on a trip to do tracks in the high country. were you in a red P38 and answered on UHF ch 15?
Dargo proved too wet in the end, many tracks closed etc. We went to Omeo in the end and got some tracks in though not without problems. Loads of trees down, so many trees killed by the 2002 fires are now ready to fall if it gets wet and windy. We had a chainsaw but needed 2.
We are from S.A. The Landrover Register of South Australia, the largest landrover only club in Aus so im told!
Yes it was me in the red P38 was great to see a group out having a good look around it is a buetifull area to play in but as you say can get a bit rough in the wet.Hope to see you all again maybe in the Flinders or somewhere, i am headed up to Harrietville in the Alpine challange on the 19th of April starting at Walhalla should be a great trip although we could get an early winter with snow forecast for this weekend.

The membership flucuates of course, but is something like 130 give or take a couple.
Yes hope to see you over this way some time, shame you cant make it to The South Australian LandRover Show at Melrose this easter, should be a good event. Were holding it in place of our usual Blinmann Jamboree this year to see if we can encourage a few more people up from the city. More info can be found on our web site at www.lrregsa.org.au
We had a great time in the area but the wet
made things difficult, brilliant weather for the trip to Craigs Hut but probably a total of 10 trees to move on our camp out to and from Walkers Hut. one of the guys did the Haunted Stream in his Rangie Clasic(td5), just two of them and had a difficult time of it. Completed it though. The stream crossings were running pretty strong.
The next club trip is the Simpson in September.
Peter.
