    Cheap Overseas Phone Calls

Has anyone used a mob similar to this Cheap International Calls - Bezecom to make overseas calls. They seem legitimate but I am nervous about handing over my credit card details.

    Hi Dave
I do not know anything about that company. but we use a group called Mynetfone and have done for several years.
Mynetfone is an add on to our internet and not only allows us to make all our calls very cheaply including international but also gives us a second line.
Just for the record I have no interest in this company just a happy customer

    Hi Dave,
Yes, there are plenty of companies around that offer VOIP (voice over IP) calls. I use My Net Phone and are happy with them. They provide a box to plug into your internet modem. It comes all setup and just plug it in and plug a normal phone into it and it works. We use this setup for most of our outgoing calls to landlines both in Australia and overseas. Haven't heard of the company you have listed though.

The mob I was looking at just take some money and then give a code and some numbers and you just use your ordinary phone. They did ring me to verify that the number I gave was correct.

You can buy over the counter prepaid phone cards for international calls, they seem very prominent is places like China town, Hindustan and Viet suburbs. Many store holders advertise them in their windows. Calls like 1 -3cents per minutes to selected countries. I knew someone who traveled all over Europe and had family contact them at various hotels, .I believe you have a code you have to ring to use it.

These cards are available all over the world. You usually call a number with a code and then you can dial your O/S number. They all vary with the charges but you have to be careful as some might be 1c per minute but might have a 50c or $1.00 flag fall.

I'd go the IP phone before handing my credit card details to any one.

You can also get some good deals with Skype subscriptions depending on how many different regions you want to call. It's what we use to call overseas and also to call the office when we're working abroad.

Any Asian grocery store. Posters will be plastered over the windows.
