    Big Bertha shed build

I started building my shed over Christmas, 1 week of set out and 5 days of 12hr day jack hammering the piers.
7.6x9m shed, 3m wide landing, 3m wide ramp, under floor will be 6x9m and ground floor will be 3x6m.
Have a look at the plans.
    More info to follow.
Have a look at the pics. Too image heavy to post them all here.

Interesting footing design. How far is it from the top of the ground to rock?

    Interesting scaffold.

The footings are a new product by SureFoot and use a galv pipe pier driven into the ground. Depth of pier according to soil testing but varies from 1200mm+ mine were 2400 long. these footings have better ratings then concrete footings and can be used on sites that you can't get machinery onto.
Work out around $150 per foot plus galv pipes. Far cheaper and easier than digging holes and concreting.

Do you concrete these as well?

If not what will happen in future years as the galv pipes rot out?

No concrete at all, just relying on the life span of the galv pipe.

Ha! That was a serious drill you're using there.

Big project. Thanks for posting the pics.

    That is some shed!

Amazing footings system. I had seen something similar for securing the gate posts for a fence but did not know that they were engineered for construction purposes.
