I find it strange that you had a no fault claim and it's affected your insurance premium. Back in the UK if I had a claim and it wasn't my fault my insurance did not chnage.

I used to have a Honda Jazz MY06 insured with Youi.
On 3/3 /2012 I was on Mona Vale Rd when a taxi in front stopped to do an illegal uturn on double lines in the rain . The car in front stopped and I stopped.
However the car behind was a young lady who was distracted enough not to stop.
She hit me with minimal braking from the 70Kmh limit and drove me into the car in front.
The car was assessed by Youi on Thursday 8/3/2012 and written off and a very fair payout reached my account today. The accident was assessed as no fault to us , as it should be.
Wth great trepidation I rang Youi today to insure the replacement car and was accepted with NO policy increase.
We will lose a little money as I was able to buy a similar car in white instead of black with the payout , covering most out of pockets except the new insurance premium.( which is $408), as the old premium dies with the car.
While it is galling to have the carelessness of another cost you money, I have been amazed at Youi's service right down the line.
I am grateful that neither my wife nor I suffered whiplash, as the hit was HARD, and the car absorbed the impact, but died in the effort with the floor in front of the spare tyre well even distorted, as well as crunched front.

I had a similar experience with AAMI involving a write off a few years ago - excellent service and all settled in just 10 days. Aami was certainly good to me.

Out of curiosity, how many km's do you travel per year in the vehicle insured by Youi?
I was sourcing quotes for insurance for my daily driver last week and as soon as I said 25,000 - 30,000km per year the premium with Youi was almost double that of my current Allianz insurance.
+1 with RACQ they had me paid out in 8 working days .. i was impressed.. car was non repairable write off
That's nice to hear some good stories for a change, and great that you weren't hurt, either.
(What's next? Some happy banking stories???)
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
This only happens when a vehicle is written off and the full value paid out. The policy dies with the vehicle and you have to start again. We were unlucky as the policy was only 2 months old.I find it strange that you had a no fault claim and it's affected your insurance premium. About 15KK, and parked in locked garage at home in a semi rural area , we are retired , no points, no convictions etc etc. Youi do cherry pick what they see as the best risk.Out of curiosity, how many km's do you travel per year in the vehicle insured by Youi?

it hasnt, his premium is the same but...
His old car has been paid out so that policy is now done and dusted. new car, new policy (which is the same policy as the old one but will have a new policy number and new vehicle details) Some of the bigger companies will as part of the pay out offer you a rejoin bonus (which is basically a % based on time left to run on your old policy before it was due for renewal) if you take up the same policy as you were on.
Some new for old policies dont do this however. They simply carry on the old policy in essence your old car goes away, your new car turns up and you sign a bit of paper to cover the changes in the policy numbers to reflect your new car.

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
When I bought my 130 I got a quote from Youi - $1900 a year! That was because I drove it everyday and parked it outside.
Glad to hear you had a good experience though.
RACV paid out on my wife's car total write off hail damage.
bought a new car and continued to insure with a discount for choosing them again
