How's the Disco running? Fix the air con?
is anyone a fungus expert and can tell me if the mushrooms growing in my yard are safe to eat.
They are white all over and the top is flat on the big ones. I live in porthedland and they are growing in pine mulch under a palm tree.
I will post a couple of pictures when i can get them to load up

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

had a similar issue a while back and contacted this bloke:

Very helpful.
Recently there were some Asian people that gathered "mushrooms" that looked similar to ones they ate back in their home country. The guests ended up in hospital with severe life threatening poisoning.
Better safe to buy your mushies from a shop
The advice here is good: Perth Urban Bushland Fungi - Recognising Edible Fungi
There are so many species of fungi, that it is unlikely you will find someone on here who will be willing to identify them for you.
There are plenty of good websites:

In WA, there have never been any reports of the "death cap" mushrooms:
Two die after eating death cap mushrooms - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
So in theory there have been no mushrooms found in WA to date which can kill you - or even make you life threateningly sick.
I think it is a shame though that we don't have a culture of eating wild mushrooms like in europe, they are usually much better than the cultivated options.
Here is some pics

I wont get to these as there is a cyclone comming
So hopefully when they sprout up again i'll know if I can eat them
They do look nice and smell nice to
Why risk eating wild mushrooms - someone dies every couple of years from death cap mushrooms here in Canberra - the last two deaths were just a couple of months ago - a third person needed or will need a liver transplant.
Is your life worth the $9.99 it costs to buy a kilo at the local supermarket or fruit shop.

Is there some way of me testing the mushrooms to see whats is in them. Like some sort of test kit that i could buy from a chemist?
