Happy the D1 has a bullbar.
Sitting in the disco parked in the main street on friday about 12:30
sorting out stuff, and had 2 cars back into the bullbar in under 5 minutes.
First the one that was leaving, a small 4x4, then the one that replaced
it a small car with a green p plate.
No damage to any, but wtf..
I wish people would learn to drive....

I know the feeling, i picked my brother up the other night, and a young woman came running out to move her car which was backed in awkwardly infront of mine across a driveway, all this was on a very steep hill that we were facing down. I stated while walking to my car with my brother and a mate that she was an idiot to be parked there, the car had green p plates on it (i'm a red p plater BTW), anyway as she went to drive out i saw a rather large dent the same shape and height as my winch fairlead, went to have a look and absolutely no damage to mine, So i had a laugh. Also the other day i was parked right on the end of a line fo cars, near an intersection, some imbercile in a little crappy hyundai decided to park right up my clacker, and i was already quite close to the car infront, when i had a look at his/her car i saw a hole that had obviously come from my rather long towbar tongue in hi bumper, anyway to get my Discovery out (i was feeling lazy) i slide the towbar back into his/her bumper and nudged his/her car and pushed it back a bit so i could leave in one swing, i certainly love having something solid at either end to use as a bettering ram when people hopelessly park their cars. Just glad it's a D1 not a D4 lol

Few years ago I had a P plater back into the front of my Falcon one evening while waiting to pick up my daughter from her shift at Macca's.
I just sat in the car calmly and waited for him to get out and check for damage etc, come an apologise etc, but nope - he just drove off without even getting out of the car.
No real damage - just a paint mark on the bumper so I wasn't too fazed.
Unfortunately for him was that he had just walked out in his Macca's uniform, so I knew where he worked
Next time I dropped her off to work he was just finishing his shift so I parked beside him. We had a small discussion regarding courtesy and driving etiquette...
Yes - plenty of "greasy stick" drivers out there....
The ones that crack me up the most are the ones that can't get into the carpark in one swing, so they back up and have another crack on exactly the same line etc. Two or 3 times - before either leaving their car angle parked in the space or giving up and looking for another one that's easier.

my first 4WD was a Patrol and it was fitted with a pretty good steel bullbar, but when i started to drive it i could not believe how close other drivers came to it
, and many more than one, they never came this close in the "normal" cars i had but they wanted to derange themselves on the item i had then.
again have a fairly good bull bar (TJM) on the disco but noone taking the same advantage
