Any idea how this TD5 Discovery got damaged?

    Hi All,
Just getting into disco's got one with an overheated engine. Came across this beauty. Any idea what happened? I was thinking of buying her for the engine - what do you think?

Looks like a tree or something rather heavy has been dropped on it. Doesnt look like a roll over. Does the engine run? That would be the first thing I would check. Surely the seller/wrecking yard should be able to shed some light on what caused the damage.

Looking at the from end damage there's damage on the bumper, in line on bonnet in a nicely rounded dent.

wondering if it's hit some sort of pole which had something mounted on top, which has tipped back onto it

    That's one saggy roof lining.

Looking at the flora hanging from the front bumper, the shattered windows, and the obvious impression in the roof, i'd almost say a high speed/airborne rollover of some sort.

The apparent lack of gravel rash & all 4x tyres fully inflated, and the rear of the body seems to sit low over the back LH wheel, me thinks something fell in it from the passengers side.

Not a roll over. Looks like it was stationary when the damage was done.

Option c : disco was already on the back of a tow truck/car carrier with an inexperienced driver who went under a low bridge which was ok for cars but not for a 2m high disco. So CHECK THE ENGINE.

Always a bit superstitious if some one had died in it though for spares.
