Autobarn will mix any colour you want as an aerosol. Just quote the paint code. I've bought several cans at different times and the colour match has been exact each time.

and if you can be specific with your vehicle age and description they can look it up for you, too.

x2 - I have used them a few times. HOWEVER, their system does not have LandRover county paint codes - e.g. Masai Red (the name or the land rover code) bring up nothing.

Landy (not Lady, Ron ) dealers are not the only choice and nor is Autobarn. I was able to get a matching colour for my Disco's dash from an automobile paint specialist near home. You just need the paint code, which should be on the vehicle plate under the bonnet.

If you go to a local smash repairer, they should be able to get the actual tint formula from the Dulux code for Masai Red, then take that to Autobarn and they should be able to convert it to a foumula for the aerosol cans.

Otherwise just find a masai tribesman and get them to colour match him!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Codes

    Hello from Brisbane.

Codes make it easier, but they aren't always necessary.

A few of the better auto paint suppliers can match the colour without the official codes by using a hand-held gadget which scans the actual panel and gives a reading which they then match with a colour in an aerosol pack or whatever. I suppose it is some sort of digital spectrometer.

My aluminium boat needed a touch up on the deck and the official paint supplied by the manufacturer never came within a bull's roar of matching their own colour..... I happened to be parked next to an automotive and industrial paint supplier in Redcliffe one day with the boat and decided to go in and ask what they could do. Twenty or so minutes later I had the aerosol can in hand and it was a perfect match when it was applied. I don't recall that it was particularly expensive either.

    Cheers,
