    Local police in bush rescue

POLICE were called to rescue stranded four wheel drivers on Sunday evening in the bush north of Dargo.A 55-year-old Wallan man, a 31-year-old Croydon man and an 11-year-old boy had gone four wheel driving on Sunday when their vehicle became bogged.
After attempting to get it out, they phoned police about 5.30pm.
Police from Briagolong and Maffra conducted a brief search and located the vehicle by 8pm.
With assistance from police, they were eventually able to drive out safely.
While no-one was harmed, Briagolong police Leading Senior Constable Scott Wilkinson is urging four wheel drivers to be prepared for the worst.
“People travelling into the High Country, even for a day trip, need to be well-equipped with food and clothing,” he said.
“In a very remote and isolated area, weather conditions can change very quickly.
“Always be prepared, and always tell people where you’ll be going and when to expect to return.”

A little like that disco that had a lay down coming down a steep track up past tomo dam. The lastest 4wd monthly mag actually came to there rescue. It worth buying the mag just to watch it.
When they had a quick chat the driver he said he was running 38psi and no experience and no other car....

From memory I think it was furlong track. Could be wrong thought...
