Mt airlie closed?

'Twas my favourite track :(
I'm pleased it is open, saddened it is graded to an easy backroad but at the same time pleased as it shows National Parks are willing to do the hard yards to keep it open. Would have been so much easier for them to gate it.
I just hope nobody goes up there in their wannabe comp truck expecting a tuff track, being disappointed and making side tracks.
John, Wayne was the side track from the top of where Chook was photographed closed or opened or unaffected? Last time I was up there it was too overgrown to drive anyway.

Looks like an easy Series trip now :mellow:

The drive-around (that Keith took) to that track has been graded and is now the only option due to the log across the track that Chook took. Is that the side track that you are referring to?

good to see it open and suppose it will get a little more usage until some decent rains wash all the sand away. :angel:

John there is another track, if you drive up the was-chicken track and turn right at the top around the outcrop there is/was another track.

I'm not sure who repaired the track, although the Lithgow 4WD Club repaired the bog hole.

It's good to hear they have repaired it and it's back open however I am with Wayne as it only got closed thanks to some inconsiderate idiots who would have never known it was there if not for a certain DVD.

Has anyone been up there since John's report? Would be good to know if they have graded all the way to the end or if there is anything challenging left.
