    Spotted in Queensland

Is there an Australia-wide thread for landy sightings? Well, if there isn't, here is the Queensland one.

While Jock and I were on the way to the bank, we drove next to a Camel Trophy Defender for a good few clicks. Jock was of the opinion that it was a replica, due to it having a county roof. Anybody know the vehicle in question? Very tidy truck, and a great send off for Jock.

I also saw it on my way back to the bank to pick up the mazda I drove there in. This time I was driving the Landy, so I gave a wave which was reciprocated.

What other vehicles have people seen in Queensland lately?

It's about time Queensland had a spotted thread.
I look forward to reading about and seeing all your spottings.

Keep privacy in mind. A lot of people don't like others knowing when/where they have been. Wives in particular can have funny ideas.

    Timbo...was that in Brisbane?

A few months ago I came across a Camel 110 300Tdi replica crusing the streets of Brisbane. I took pictures, but did not put them on here as per privicay issues.

I talked to the owner - he was from Finland and imported the vehicle to Oz. It was built up in Finland with a rebuild motor/gearbox and transfer prior to coming to oz.

He plans on travelling around the country side with it.

    Cheers

Spotted a Blue stage 1 at Waterford School yesterday, have never seen it before.

Going to work yesterday I spotted a fender 90 in Logan village, as I was driving past I realised the driver was standing beside it, with mates and mountain bikes, I think, he did look at me but I was too late to wave Sorry if you read this
