When Rangie drivers don't wave pull across the road and drive at them. They'll be waving, at least to get you to move back over if nothing else.
must be different in SA - every Deefer owner on the road here waves at me in my Deefer, however, NO disco drivers wave at me and RR drivers sneer........

Well, if you're waving and they aren't waving back, then perhaps they are just snobs, or people who have a Land Rover for reasons other than dedication to the culture surrounding the car, and aren't really into the car they drive.
A lot of flashy range rover drivers are oblivious of the culture around Land Rovers, and purely buy the car for luxury touring, or because they look nice.
Once the cars are a bit older and start showing some character, then perhaps they will be more wholly adopted by the Land Rover enthusiast community.
The problem is that Defender drivers and waving other LR model drivers are so stunned getting a wave from a L322 they are unable to move just like a rabbit caught in the spotlamp.
You need to have a camera looking to the rear RHS to see the head turn as you go by!
We should have keep on LR wave'n stickers made up!![]()
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
I always wave at fellow LR drivers, probably only get around a 25% return on that, but that won't stop me.
Of course my wife thinks its hilarious, but I like it anyway!
Keep on waving
Hell, I was pulled up next to a Defender in traffic in Perth a couple of weeks ago, close enough to read the AULRO sticker on the back of his vehicle (he's a regular on here), so I assume that he could also read the AULRO sticker on the side of mine.
I even bipped the horn and then waved, only to get a look back like I was from another planet. Makes you wonder whether it's worth bothering with some.
However, I usually get a wave back when I'm outside of the Perth metro area, so maybe that's telling me something.
Got a wave from a white Disco 3 in the main street of Kalgoorlie the other day, and even a wave from a silver Disco 4 pulling a caravan north near Newman yesterday (and I was driving a Toymota at the time - but I did have my Landrover hat on).![]()
Cheers .........
BMKAL
