    Sorry Brian

    Hey Brian.
I had one of your Banana Benders here last nite,he was steering this.

I told V8Ian I wanted to give him a bag of sand to take back to QLD especially for you.I forgot to get some before work this morning.
IT MAY STILL HAPPEN,will be seeing him at the Taxi Racing on the weekend

Nice trailer but what is that thing on the front of it? It doesn't have a long bonnet or a "W" or "Autocar" badge on the grille. Ian, you are not keeping up expected standards.

You may be required to surrender your blue singlet and Teamsters Union belt buckle.

Sometimes we have to make compromises Brian, the job was worth driving a Volvo for. It's actually a bit like having ******** performed by a gay, (so I'm told by regular Volvo operators ) feels good, but you wouldn't want your mates watching.

My steed for the last fortnight; Volvo or Kenworth..........decisions.......one has cup holders, the other balls.

One does wonder why a low cab forward was selected for the application.

Interestingly LCF's are the only cab-over trucks now seen in the USA and then only in specialist applications like the Autocars and Macks built for municipal garbage collection. The only high cab overs now seen in highway haulage haulage are old. Not one of the major brands in the USA still make a big cab-over. All new trucks are bonnetted except for small oriental jobs used for city deliveries.

That is not a long trailer, and they would have used a high cab over if length was a problem. The low cab forward has considerable protrusion in front of the axle. LCF's are usually used for manouverability and frequent driver access such as in city deliveries. LCF's also have a rather different ride motion. They pivot on the front axle and have an up and down bobbing movement.

The Volvo is owned and maintained by Rentco, no doubt it was the best of the rental retirees. It is only 420 HP, more than adequate for the < 30 GVM.
