Back in the 80's when Land Rover sponsored Guthega (ski resort in NSW) they had a Range Rover with a set of the bolt on tracks on it, dad was down there at the time and there is a photo of Arthur Garthon's (my grandfather) Range Rover parked next to it on the snow, should dig it up sometime. Dad said it bent a tack rod when they drove it through a mogul as the tracks were massive and grabbed the edges (off a big yank army truck) so dad helped the LRA people to weld a bit of angle iron (an old bed rail from the lodge) on to reinforce it and it got around for the rest of the season. I've always wanted to build a set, and i probably will one day to fit on the D2, there a few build threads on pirate 4x4 such as this one tracked vehicle build up - Pirate4x4.Com which spurs the motivation on LOL. I also saw the Ad Boivin thing on Pirate, but ti looks like more of an SUV thing, as it wouldn't go too well in the rough i don't thinkg, awesome thing none the less, just not for me
