Pardon my ignorance but, what are Provents?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

In short - crankcase blowby separator. If your engine has a closed vent system it will mean longer turbocharger life and less build-up of crud in the inter/after cooler.

half our graders vent to air.
these drip oil and make mess.
prob a good case for the catch canfilters.

the brazilian CAT we have new has a valve conected to the muffler[that falls off] and vents to the exhaust.a few of out John Deers are the same.

after reading about the toyota diesel engine fairures because the new common rail injectors are inside the rocker cover any leaks and the contaminate the oil.

My brazilian CAT was delivered at Xmas time, earthmoving gear doesnt HAVE to comply with Euro spec emmision laws yet.
Pretty sure my older Volvo Grader that I was steering is Euro3 spec, and has a provent as standard.Sorry Ben yet to look into that.1 MORE WEEK and we are back working in town.
