Yes, I'm afraid so. separate forum and new logins.
Personally i dont think REMLR has what it takes to stand on its own feet. I have witnessed the massive amount of work people have had to put into similar forums to just keep them alive. Without the support of the AULRO forums behind REMLR i predict an immenent demise. Tis a shame but i hope to be proven wrong.
REMLR is going just fine, the forums really are a byproduct of the group itself. An added benefit if you like.
So, what will be happening with the old posts?
This is a very good point, there is a massive amount of knowledge and bits and pieces there, it would be terrible to lose any of it, including photos etc...
could it be archived here or over at the new REMLR ?
(PS will there be a sympathetic link in either direction? and could there be?)
It seemed to happen very suddenly..
I don't know that the posts can be moved over, but they may be able to be left on here as closed frums so nobody can make posts, I don't know forums well enough to know the ahswer there, but I suspect it is easiest to just remove it as it is.
I know it looses a lot of posts of information, but I hope that people will be about to answer any questions should they appear again, or that the pertinant information is stored on the REMLR website itself.
So what is the criteria to have REMLR access?
I doubt I'll bother visiting here otherwise.
Edited. ALL SORTED NOW.
I tried to register and it said that I had to include a Location. I added a location but it still kept coming up with error messages...
Has this been brought about by some sort of squabble between the concerned parties again???
IME the mil vehicle fraternity seems to have more internal squabbles than any other group...
Pheonix - thanks for all your hard work over the years!
