    Gearbox to Transfer Case Hose?

An old timer on straddie told me that I should purchase a connector hose from the filler plug on gearbox to same on transfer case, assisting oil flow and transfer between the two. Has anyone tried this, is it worthwhile and any recommendations as to type of hose or supplier/manufacturer would be greatly appreciated. This query is for my Series 3 1975 SWB Landy. Cheers

G'day, I would say that he is very wrong, oil does not flow between G/box & T/case unless you have a problem with Mainshaft oil seal, and or your G/box mainshaft is spinning in the housing pumping oil from G/box into T/case, it will if not fixed, run your G/box empty.
I just can't pull the amounts of oil the G/box and T/case have, but as I said Oil doesn't normally flow between them.
He may be confused with the problem 4 speed G/box & T/case in Range Rover and S3 109 V8/Isuzu, where owners drilled a oil level oil through the back of the T/case into the G/box, that way the oil level found it's own level eventually, hope that helps cheers Dennis
