I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I think this goes beyond clever. I've sat & watched the glassblowers at Eumundie and was really impressed with what they created , very clever people. How on earth you could create the steam engine with the tolerances needed , with all the different shapes & close fit, Humans never cease to amaze me with their cleverness. Never cease to amaze with their foolishness, either. [ I belong to the 2nd group, mostly] Bob

Scientific glassblowing is a lot like tool making, except the material used is generally borosilicate or quartz, instead of metal or plastic or whatever.

This is a great little example of what can be done with glass. Using a precision bore tubing machine, a centreless grinding machine, a honing machine and a glass lathe as well as some more common glassblowing equipment this kind of engine can be made in most well equipped glass blowing/glass engineering shops.

    Clever people those glass blowers.
    Cheers
