300tdi horror stories,
Look through the defender & Disco 1 sections as well. Plenty of threads about what happens to them.

Without knowing the history and assuming a few worst case scenarios, I would change:
timing belt - should be done every 100k at most
head gasket - if it's been overheated at all this is likely to start leaking at some point
water pump gasket - will leak if it hasn't been changed at all
The big question is though - are you going to fix it up yourself? Service it yourself? Any vehicle that old with that many kms will need some love and care.

300TDi is a great engine. 320,000Kms is a lot of wear and tear. Get someone who knows Land Rovers to check it out. Might cost you $200, but it might find $2000 of repairs required.
Good luck with it - they are a great vehicle if you get the right one.
Cheers
David
