Dense cloud this morning, I'll have to watch it on the intermet instead...;):)

I had a look at it a while ago thru my welding mask.
Saw the Sun ok but could not see Venus, which is not surprising because i have cataracts on both eyes and cant focus very well anyway.
Even on the computer I have to zoom in to enable me to read the text.
But history will record that I looked at it, eh. Ta Da.
Cheers.
Robert.

Took it minutes ago using my 75-300 mm with the welding glass. :D
Are you sure? It finished about 4 1/2 hours ago... I suspect you have a pic of a sunspot there. I had full sun just after lunch 5 1/2 hours ago and could see the planet's disc clearly without magnification, better with a welding glass taped to a 7 x 35mm monocular (binocular with one cap on!) then nearing the end of the transit.:)
Venus completes transit of the Sun - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Maybe, but it looks like a perfect circle for a sunspot!
Bee Utey, you are completely right. This can't be Venus since as you said the transit finished 8 hours ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could it be a solar spot as you said or have I discovered another celestial body transiting through the sun????? :D
The parallax would add some minutes?
