    Earth Tremor

Who else experienced the small earthquake in the north west last night? Here at Tamworth there were two tremors about 3 to 4 minutes apart at around 9.30. Centred between Tamworth and Gunnedah, they were felt over a large area ranging from Nundle in the south to Guyra and west to Inverell.

Exciting actually......the earth finally moved for me

Quite interesting to experience - both the ga site and the USGS site have details including prints of seismograph output - no reported damage (AFAIK).

17km deep - those gas drillers and coal miners in northwest NSW must have been overdoing it !

-I image it's just a normal daily occurrence for Kiwis

We left Guyra late yesterday and overnighted in Glenn Innes, nothing was felt there

Glad the earth moved for you Perry

I was amused by reports that people actually jammed the phone lines to the Police reporting intruders as the Windows were shaking.

I felt them both quite well in Kootingal perry.

There has been a lot of crime in Tamworth at late whilst occupants are in the house. Town is on edge so no wonder people called the police. Not the first earthquake my wife has been in.
