Height of roof top tent over roofline?
Hi all, i'm measuring up for a garage to accommodate a 110 defender with the intent to fit a roof top tent in the future. Thus can you give me an approximate height difference between the roofline and top of the packed tent. ie the height of the tent (packed) on roof racks.

What size tyres and suspension height have you got on your setup now and in the future? Personally I'd have a 3m high door and at least 3.5 to 4m roof, to accommodate every conceivable setup and still have enough roof to jack the car up. Higher if you want a 4 point hoist.

I'd go 3.0 metres minimum.
My 110 plus RTT with 2 inch lift and heavy duty springs comes in at 2.65 metres.

Thanks all, most garage sheds in this height range are 2.87m or 3.3m openings, less 200mm for the roller door, meaning the door clearance is 2.67m or 3.1m. Adding 500mm to my current roof height equates roughly to Woody's height. Safe bet is a 3.3m opening. Makes for a tall shed/garage.
