    missing bolt on bell housing

    hi everyone just a question for the rangie drivers ..
    i have a classic 2 dr 4 speed and i noticed today when i replaced my tie-rods thats it looks like im missing a bolt of the bottom of the bell housing

    anyone know what size bolt is suppose to be there or what its for ???

    wading plug

    Hi

    see the square head nut to the left of the hole? its to put in the open hole its a wading plug for when you go through water.

    Yup! I agree with 91ramjet, if it is the threaded hole it is for the wading plug and should only be inserted just before wading (it stops water getting in and causing clutch slip) should be removed after liklihood of fording water.

    But in some areas of the east coast at the moment with minor flooding fitting it wouldn't be a bad idea

    well thats sound like a good idea ..gonna have to move it up to dalby soon so hopfully theres no flooding..but thank you both
