Inventing and need used/old timing chains

    Hello!

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on some used timing chains and gears. I am feeling creative and want to invent something and the idea I have need some timing chains and gears. It is non-precision engineering to say the least (more urban art/sculpture) so used/stretched ones are fine. You can pick up new ones for $50 on ebay but it seems a waste when I could be reusing and recycling what is otherwise pretty useless!
I am in Brisbane city if anyone has any or can point me in the right direction!

    Thanks!

    Dave

    Hey Dave,

I have a TD5 chain and sprocket, and also the oil pump chain and sprocket from the same TD5.

I threw them in the bin in a box earlier this week so will recover them if they are any use to you?

They are all wrapped up so will be clean (although a bit oily)

That would be awesome if you could put them to one side for me! I am about to head off overseas for 4 weeks but will head down next month and get them if that is okay. Maybe even head out and get the cars muddy?

Sounds like a plan. They are now saved!
