A man gets into an elevator, presses the button for the ninth floor where he gets out and walks up the staircase to his work place on the eleventh floor.

At the end of the day he gets into the elevator on the eleventh floor, presses the button for the ground floor and goes home.

He does this each working day. Why?

Through a hatch or hole in the wall, floor or ceiling, by building yourself in, having more than 4 walls and 1 is missing, by removing one of said surfaces to get in, magic etc.

And i believe your elevator answer is right too but that will be for Vin Rouge to confirm as its his riddle.

and another - none of these are too hard which is why we enjoyed them..

A 6-foot tall Magician standing on a well lit stage had a water glass and was holding it above his head. He let it drop to the blue carpet laid on the stage without spilling a single drop of water.

How could he manage to drop the glass from a height of six feet and not spill a drop of water?

He held it "... above his head..." , say 1 foot, then let go.
    - It fell the first 6 feet without spilling a drop; different story after it fell the last (7th) foot !
