Here's a few more to think over:

    1
There are six ears of corn in a hollow stump. If a perfectly healthy squirrel carries only three ears out each day, how many days will it take to empty the stump?

    2
When can you add two to eleven & get one as the correct answer?
A famous magician was bragging aboy his marksmanship. He claimed fo be able to hang up his hat, walk 50 metres blindfolded, then turn and shoot a bullet right through his hat. Since he could not see through his blindfold, how could he manage to do it?

    3
A ship is at anchor, over the side hangs a rope ladder with rungs half a metre apart. The tide rises a half metre per hour. At the end of five hours how much of the ladder will remain above water, assuming that nine rungs were above water when the tide began to rise?

    on an analog clock

hung his hat on the muzzle of the gun

the ladder is attached to the boat the boat floats on the water so the level on the ladder never changes.
