Right lets step this up, looking for fastest correct answer on these..

(and to the person who emailed me all the sites he has been trawling for answers, Thanks for the help on sites and just a reminder its probably not fair if you start cracking every one I put up...especially if you get the answers from these sites !!...anyway...)

looking for fastest correct answer on these..

    1. There is a town in Texas where 5% of all the people living there have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 100 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of these people would have unlisted phone numbers?

    2. How many of each type of animal did Moses take on the Ark?

    3. If you go to the movies and you're paying, is it cheaper to take one friend to the movies twice, or two friends to the movies at the same time? (and why?)

    4. Two sentries were on duty outside a barracks. One faced up the road to watch for anyoe approaching from the North. The other looked down the road to see if anyone approached from the South. Suddenly one of them said to the other, "Why are you smiling?"

How did he know that his companion was smiling?

    5. What can be seen, but cannot be touched, and when put in a barrel, will make the barrel lighter?

    Cheers

    1. None. You got them from the phone book.
    2 was Noah. Not moses.

3 at same time. Paying for your ticket plus two friends (3 all up) vs having to pay for yourself twice.

4 they were facing each other? No one said they were back to each other.

    5. A hole.

I first thought of light for the last one, but decided it was a bit too silly and went for a hole instead.

Whoever makes it, tells it not. Whoever takes it, knows it not. And whoever knows it wants it not.

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!
