Just got a set for my defender... $357 fitted and balanced in Mt Isa. That's for 235/85R16s if it helps.

I did have a slight delay getting them due to supplier issues, but very impressed so far (1000km) quiet on the black top, good on gravel, and worked very nicely on the blacksoil when i got rained on

The 255's might be a little wide as I have 245/70/16's and they rub on the radius rods before full lock and thats on a D1 with a slight lift

    I've got 265/75's KM2's on my D2.
It has a spring lift(these tyres should fit with out it) and are @ 32's in the old talk.
The standard ones are @ 29's so it lifts the diffs up.
Tyres just touch the radius arms(the previos Copers didn't in the same size).
    Paid @ $1200 12 months ago.
    Cheers, Kyle

Sorry, just realised my response was the wrong tyre wall height, content deleted.

Never seen 255/65/16 before, 255/70/16 I have seen, either way you'll have no issues regarding fitting to the D2.

Not cheap though, but a bloody good tyre.

I'm currently running KL71 Khumos which have been good but noisy, would love to have quieter tyre. I'm running 245/70's so I'm assuming the suggested 255/65's would be very close in rolling radius. Yeah the khumos rubbed on things at full lock too but dont now that theyve worn down. Theyve been very good but when I get in someone elses car on the blacktop realise how noisy they are.

The KM2s are very quiet, you won't believe how quiet they are, took me a while to believe it, I had 235/85s on my old D2.
