Custom Made Sliding Windows
Anyone know a reputable place to get some made up? They are for the Defender. The windows are roughly 10"x20" and there are four of them.
Bearmach supposedly makes a sliding window kit for the hardtop, but I received mine in the mail today after almost 4 months of waiting, and they are almost twice as large as they should be. They are also the only size Bearmach makes.
I've been told that caravan shops might be my best bet. Anyone familiar with some good outlets in or around Brisbane?

Hi timbo,
Do you have any details or pics of what you purchased ?? My rear sliding windows are well past their sell by date so wondering if your kit would be suitable for a series III.
I like these but I don't think they'd be suitable for mine

I salvaged these sliding windows from a Land Cruiser Troopy and fitted them to my SIII.
On the troopy they fit into a recessed area, but the rubber folded nicley over the SIII's thin alloy side and secured without issue.
The Troopy windows are not all exactly the same, from memory the front and back ones vary a little and the bottom leading edge has a different radius curve on it, so you need to be careful making your templates.
You can get them off any wrecked troopy, or I can sell you the whole hard top (roof, sides, windows, upper tailgate, marine carpet inside lining). PM me if anyone wants it, it's in Bayswater (VIC).
On the SIII the window is lower than the original, which makes it easier to see cars that would otherwise hide in that blind spot by sitting lower than the window line.
