I know its an ADD Pedro, I just tuned out to it...The CAR!! the CAR!!
I wonder how much they are asking? I saw another with only marginally more miles (I think 45,000?) and not quite so perfect for 40K (US) , which I think isn't a lot of $$ for history in great condition. In fact IF I was looking for something like that, I would seriously consider the price in preferrence to paying more for say a Statesman or LTD....?

Hello from Brisbane.
My sister and American brother-in-law have kept one in a heated garage under their house in Pennsylvania for the last 30 or so years ('59 convertible). Original mint condition in irridescent green duco and green leather seats. It belonged to an elderly neighbour who bought two matching Cadillacs at a time for the husband and wife duo. Basically, only driven to Florida and back in winter a few times and offered a pittance as a trade in back in the late 70's so my bro-i-l bought it for my nephew as a 21yo present - he was 4 at the time.
Problem with owning these classics in the US is that unless you kept a bull mastiff in it you couldn't park and leave it anywhere for risking having it stolen or the roof slashed - even back in the 70ks.
Real head turner on the turnpike when you take it for a hood down run.
Cheers,

Last year I looked at a few 67-76 Cad convertibles whilst in LA. Prices asked vary greatly. There seem to be quite a few tidy low mileage original ones about. They were generally bought by older prosperous people as a summer cruiser and did not get a lot of use. I was looking for a '76 Eldorado Biarritz. The last of the big cruisers. 500 cubic inch front wheel drive. Downsizing started the next year. I saw a very good one in San Diego the day before I was to fly home and did not have time to organise anything. A dealer acquaintance told me it was too dear. I would have been prepared to pay the premium as it did not need any work whatsoever. Rather that than have to spend weeks/months fixing it here.
That 59 is a real ripper. I bet they are asking a bit for it.

So thats what I was looking at last weekend, well apart from it being a convertible and a 2 door![]()
