Don't touch B&M they turn to cheese in 10 years, no joke we rebuilt one today to use as a roadside ad board!! That's how far gone it was.

Classic trailers are solid and the fella that runs the joint has a Disco

Otherwise it's have a look and see what you like.

I got a Pod Trailer for going away. Chuck stuff in, close and lock lid and drive away...
Over the years I've added external gas bottle holders, jerry can holder and roof racks to it.

I don't use it for 4WDing so it was a fairly stock one. They are a little $$$ but very well made. With the plastic tub just hose them out and not worry about rust. I got the galvanised chassis too.

I would recommend a 7x4 (extra length is handy) with 18" high sides, make a huge difference over the standard 12" sides.

Or you could make your own like i did, Well 2 of them .

I picked up a trailer made from a converted tub from a Series II Landy Ute (I think), must be decades old, looks pretty ordinary, but tough and basically rust free, being made from aluminium. Takes a fair bit of stuff, and has a pretty high clearance.

The wheel stud pattern is almost the same as the Disco 2, which is almost useful when going some distance with it, but not quite

Hi Gullible, I second Vogue's suggestion. That extra length of the seven footer is remarkably handy and the extra height is good too. As a further suggestion, if you can afford it, get one that is fully galvanised and you have an asset for life. There will probably be a trailer related forum somewhere on the net that could be informative. Cheers, 130man.

I would be careful with any shopping given your user name

After having 2 trailers rust out on me, I wanted a galvanized one.
I had an off road fully galvanized 7 x 4 trailer made using LR hubs at Sunshine Trailers in Melbourne. Has 18" sides, and a cage on top. I have recently made a rack that my rooftop tent is mounted on. It is a perfect size for the Quad Bike to drive into, and then off I go.

I had the wheel track made the same as the Defenders.
Long draw bar with storage box, and spare.
I plan on building boxes on the cage for storage, and kitchen.
There are photo's in Cairns to Uluru in the trip report section. It was taken after my accident. I bent the axle, hub, wheel, and drawbar.

Get a 7x5 with a cage.
Really useful never take my age of its great 7x5 is just that bit bigger really good size
