Yep. Bought some from Inspiration Paint & Colour in Nerang last week. Works great.

When painting the flat green on the bonnets of BP trucks we used to buy a flattening agent to mix in the green paint from the auto paint shop.

    Hi,

Assuming you're talking acrylic lacquer (Dulon and the like) then the flattening additive is the way to go.

Will need to be thoroughly stirred and finely strained before adding to the tinter/clear/thinners mix or you'll end up with little hard white spots in the finish.

    cheers, DL

Basically I have a enamel paint, that applies ok, however, it marks with ease

ie, you can rub your finger on it and it will mark and leave white marks, or you could walk past with a coat on and the zip would mark the paint. So a friend in the Uk had the same issue and said a clear matt lacquer would stop this.

So I was thinking of applying this after the final top coat.

I think the lacquer will fry the enamel, you need 'Enamel Add' a hardener, in your paint.

    Thanks for the link.

I have some of this already, but thought it was just for a faster drying time...

I shall give it a try...
