No start because of a loose plug behind the dash can be a show stopper whether your in the supermarket car park or the Simpson where a simple old banger like a 4bd1 or tdi will happily run with out a single wire connected to the engine
And you know what, there's a thousand things that will stop a Isuzu LR that has nothing to do with the single wire, and many of us who drive scary electric operated TDCi's spend more time in the bush than all the Isuzu's put together,I'd put money on that . Pat

I jumped in my 2000 Toyota Corrolla the other day & reversed out of the driveway and the gearbox warning lights didn't come on. Then put it in drive and they again failed to flash. Drove to the shops and back without worrying about something going wrong.

Not as fun as my D2a though.

And don't forget that these simplistic fix-it-in-the-bush-with-a-hammer-and-a-roll-of-gaffer-tape-and-a-can-of-WD40 vehicles from yesteryear were the foundation for Land Rover's reputation for reliability!

Did anyone else read that Dobbo is looking for another clunker to take bush? He's looking for something reliable...
