It's my pet hate, you get out there to get away from all the noise so why would you bring it with you it just defies logic

    Cheers

    Hi,
I'm told a lead pencil line down the spark plug makes them a tad tricky to start on the second night.

    cheers

If you can picture a powered site 10m x 8m with a caper trailer, tent and one car......the gennie was about a meter outside annex of the camper trailer. They could have used it as a seat

As said what a tight wad. Power site is hardly anything in cost.
I couldn't believe it either considering they were on a powered site

I walked past just to make sure I wasn't hearing thing, the yobboes were into a good session of drinking so I continued to walk back to my campsite and ring reception, I was the third to ring which prompted to to investigate

When they shut the gennie down there were cheers from at least half of the campsites.

I think we all have to accept that gen sets are now a part of today's touring and camping activities. Lots of motor homes and camper trailers either have them built in, or have a dedicated compartment for them.

If you object to the gentle purr of a modern four stroke generator, then you had better not be the one of the overloud music and raised voices late night roisterers. I object to them more than to generators.

Could be worse, we used to fire up the big diesel Gennie at 7:30 in the morning on camp, military environment is a bit different though
I can't stand caravan parks tbh, too much like parking garages and supermarkets
Give me an empty state forest any day

Try mining exploration. Diesel Genset running 24 hrs, plus my work LandCruiser running 10-12 hours a day. I would go for weeks on end without being out of earshot of a diesel engine.
