    I can't believe we got to 10 pages before Slava Grigoryan was mentioned (and only in a cut and paste)...

    Slava and his brother Leonard:
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiDOJU9XLUs]Grigoryan Brothers perform Jongo - YouTube[/ame]
    (maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but you can't deny the talent. Note the guy in the audience with a Metallica shirt )

    Plus a few others in my top 10:
    John Butler

    Newton Faulkner

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0RG4m5CxtU]Tricky Guitar Stuff - Newton Faulkner - YouTube[/ame]

    Brian Ritchie (Bass - formerly of Violent Femmes)
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGmPNENHCH0]Brian Ritchie's Bass Solo - YouTube[/ame]

    Justin Chancellor (Bass) - hard to find any good solos...

    Of course Jimi, Slash, ...

    Very hard to choose, but I have to stick with my all time favorite band, and say it has to be Bootsy baby.....Parliament's greatest member, besides George that is, William "Bootsy" Collins.

    Yeah ok he's a bass guitarist but you can't fault his skill's yo.

    Funk aside......I'd have to make a long list of stoner guitarist's the first of which would be Josh Homme.
    Cheers
