    Beer keg projects

My daughter has picked up a couple of old stainless beer kegs from the bar she's working at, and is keen for us to make some sort of BBQ together as a summer project while she's not busy at uni.

Any suggestions on a good BBQ design, and possibly another interesting project for the second keg?

while not a summer thing, I cut up a 80 ltr Tooheys keg into a furnace for parties after the sun set and it's a bit chilly. I cut it off near the top to have a body and lid. Welded some tabs onto the lid to hold it in place when sitting on top. Cut a hole in the top of the lid and fitted a leftover bit of 8" pipe as a flute. cut some slits into the keg near the bottom for O2. Welded some nuts to the lid to screw in handles to remove the lid once the fire is raging. (yes the handles get real hot if you don't remove them). When stoked up and roaring the flames shoot out of the flute and it sounds like a jet engine. It's awesome and captivating after a day's drinking.

I split a keg length ways[top to bottom], put a gate hinge on one side and a bolt for a handle on the other, a shelf/rack made out of lite "reo bar", use it as a bbq when camping and a smoker at home, makes the best smoked pickled pork or brisket, had it for about 13 years now. its the smaller sized keg

Hey guys i used to own a pub and the breweries like to keep up with the kegs it costs them $400 plus to purchase a keg so be sure it is of no further use it does say property of on the side!

Holy crap - that thing is made out of 1/4" thick pipe! Just needs some tracks to run on
