    For musicianship I'd give it to Sebastian Hardie.

    I watched SH supporting some overseas band called Yes a couple of years ago and they stood up pretty damn well.

    Good to see a home gown band stretching beyond pub rock. Class.

    I was referring to them in the mainstream sense. They are definately bigger in the U.S. than they are here that's for sure.

    Well... being a bit precious and pendantic about it.
    I think being founded in Melbourne with 2/3 of the original members being Australian makes Crowded House an Australian band

    Good list though, I'm sure the 'ear of the beholder' will insert many you have missed.
