Roll on Roll off from UK to Australia

How long does it take a modern cargo ship to get to Australia from UK? I have no idea.

Thanks. So that would mean my D4 if it was due in Fremantle on 10 November is well and truly on the boat.

All the cars from land rover get shipped around the world from Southampton docks with the company Wallenius Willhelmsew. Normally take 4 to 6 weeks depending on how many stops it makes between here and there.

If you have a chassis number and model style and colour then I can problem find out of it still on the dock side or been loaded

Have a mate who in charge of loading of the land rovers at the docks in Southampton for Wallenius Willhelmsew.

Thanks everyone. I heard from LR90WA who also bought a D4 from the run out sale here in Perth that the dealer told him the boat gets into Freo around 10 November.

A look on the web tells me that the Tonsberg (Wallenius Willhelmsew) arrives in Perth on the 8th at 8m and leaves on the 9th at midnight. It is (was?) the biggest car carrier in the world and launched last year. Takes over 5000 cars.

It does a big milk run, goes from Southampton to east coast of USA, then through the Panama canal to Auckland. After Auckland I think it goes to Brisbane, then Melbourne, then Fremantle, then Singapore and home. I hope my car is on it as the next one, the Endurance, doesn't arrive until 23 November.

It will take some time after that, as the dealers have prep and process all the landys on the boat I assume and that should take some time. The dealer told me late November when I signed up so I don't know why I am obsessing about the boat arrival.

Thanks for the offer , Ali. I don't have a chassis number but if Im speaking to the dealer I'll ask if they have it.

I asked southerns for the boat name, they said it has already docked !!

I was in Freo yesterday, swung past the dock and could see about 30 plus landies, in particular a white d4 followed shortly behind by a black d4..

    Mid nov looks promising !!

I'm going down this am to look. Is it northquay near the cold storage or on the passenger terminal side (F shed)?
