It's O.K Ausgrid have a spare $40 Million substation at Charlstown it just needs to be pluged into the electricity grid.

I believe it has just been sitting there for something like this. $1b waste as infrastructure gathers dust | thetelegraph.com.au

Mind you we have been paying for it in our increased power bills.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

If he does, please do ring the Fire Brigade, on 000, and do tell them you can see smoke coming from his place.

They will stop him from putting the whole area at risk-- will probably warn him that next time he will cop a $5000 fine. They do not tell him who it was who rang 000.

Last week I saw a large camp fire with 2 metre high flames in an ajoining RFS brigade Area. Not having a mobile, as soon as I got home I rang 000 and reported that fire, as it was very windy, and a lot of bush is near to where that fire was. So do not be afraid to report fires. You may save many lives by doing that.

Please do follow this advice given by Bushie in the first Post.

•Check your bush fire survival plan - Now.
•Monitor the fire and weather situation in any way you can: through NSW Rural Fire Service and Bureau of Meteorology - Home Page, television or radio.
•Call Triple Zero if you see a fire.
The Rural Fire Service advises that if you are in an area of Severe Fire Danger:
•If you plan to leave finalise your options and leave early on the day
•Only stay if your home is well prepared and you can actively defend it
•Prepare for the emotional, mental and physical impact of defending your property - if in doubt, leave.
Most of the state is very dry, and we could well be in for fires as bad as Canbera & the Victorian Fires. So do work out what you will do. Your Family's life could depend on it. This which is quoted is the advice from the NSW Rural Fire Service, those who do know.
