Thread: Need a new phone, don't where to start!

Here is my 2 cents worth (maybe less)....

I am an IT consultant. I spend my entire life solving problems or fixing things that are broken, or both, on a large scale.

I have been an iPhone user since the first 3G came out.

I am not a fanatical Apple disciple, but in my personal life, I like things that just work without any fuss.

Yes you have to have an iTunes account, yes you are locked in to a format but guess what, you also have access to a gazillion apps for just about every conceivable thing you can possibly dream you want to do, and they work, and they're cheap.

I also have an iPad, which I love and wouldn't travel without it. Everything syncs up between the 2.

It would take a lot for me to switch now.

Used to love Motorola phones, then you couldn't get them.

Got an iPhone and it talked to my Macbook. Backed up everything so easily.

Phone went for an accidental swim in the sea, bit sad seeing the flash for the camera come on like a light of life without having any control to switch it off and knowing it's soon to be dead.

Straight into Telstra, new iPhone and sim, get home plug it into the Mac and it says something like "I see you have a new iPhone, would you like to install your last phone settings?' or similar.

Tick the appropriate boxes, 5 mins later I have my new 'old' phone with everything I had before. All contacts, music, photos, etc.

That'll do me thanks.
