I keep forgetting to ask. A friend who is the original 'gunna' and doesn't have the internet keeps asking me to check the answer to the above. He has a Series 3 SWB and wants to fit an Ashcroft difflock but also would need 24 spline shafts.
Bill.
Is the difflock for the 4.7 ratio diff?
Only the Salisbury had 24 splines on the diff end the Series III Rover diffs only had 10 spline.
The 109 drive flange on the hubs were all 24 spline, while the 88 remained 10 spline. Swapping the flange end is no problem.
I don't know anyone who makes a 24 spline SIII front halfshfts, but Barry at High tough engineering would make up 24 spline specials for the rears and for Stage 1 CV swivels.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
The last time I bought 24-spline coiller axles, HTE were cheapest, Rover(Roving)tracks slightly more expensive and Ashcroft more expensive again.
However, all of the above probably doesn't help you, as I doubt anyone would have series 24 spline axles on the shelf still? (Unless NOS).
you might be suprised what Barry stocks or can make. I have the feeling he still covers series stuff....Im sure he would be able to make them no dramas
