Hey fellas It Thanksgiving up' n over here today.
A popular way to cook a turkey here is deep frying it.
Read danger! Besides fire scares the cap out of me!
A mate of mine set fire to his garage a few years ago doing just this very same thing- he ignored the rules!
I use peanut oil for this but as you will see the bloke in the clip in England is using cooking oil--well they both can go up in a spectacular ball of flames and ruin your day if you are not careful!
So if you are tempted now or in the future here's the safe method. His bird is a bit small at best on this side are about 16lbs from the supermarket.

Happy Thanksgiving Dennis! I Have done birds in oven, charcoal, "trash can style", deep fry. I have also spitted the bird on charcoal and in a gas BBQ. They al tasted good, but my favorites are spitting or deep frying. Seasoning and basting works wonders in all bird dishes.
Cheers!

Webber's the way to go, takes a while but nothings better, yum, Regards Frank.
My aunt when growing up use to raise her own turkeys for thanksgiving / christmas. Her record is 40+lbs for a bird (she had 5 kids to feed), it had to be cut in half to fit in her oven. Even at that size it was still tasty.
Webers are a great way to cook meat.
I know a few 'turkeys I'd like to ....................... no I'd better not go there![]()

Or you could cook it this way.
TURKEY WITH POPCORN STUFFING RECIPE
I thought this sounded good! Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing ingredient - imagine that! When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when the turkey is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.
10-15 lb. Turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing
1 cup un-popped popcorn
Salt/pepper to taste
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
-Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan making sure the neck end is toward the front of the oven, not the back.
-After about four hours, listen for the popping sounds.
-When the turkey's arse blows the oven door open and the bird flies across the room... it's done.
