I know with landcruiser utes and some small trucks, you can buy an adapter that I think ?????? goes on the transfer box and gives you a PTO (power take off) so you can run hydraulics. I'm short on details but I want to know if the same can be done with defenders. Thanks in advance for any comments .

This is like the one I've got:

Bolts on, with a transfer on/off lever coming into the cab.

Have not fitted it mainly because I can't find an easy place to put in the hydraulic oil reservoir. I think I needed to have 10L of oil to run the winch (as advised by a hydralic bloke I discussed with) which is actually quite a lot of oil!
