True, I didnt even count england, scotland, wales, n.ireland.. just counted UK.

Also Monaco is not a country is it?! If I add on those along with Andorra, Gibraltar, the vatican, hong kong, and other municipalities, principalities and overseas territories .. I may be nearer the 70 mark

I forgot Brunei and Northern Ireland, so that's 14, which isn't much compared with some here.

There are a few others that only count as they were only over night stops or airport transits.

Where I'm from, N. Ireland wouldn't be considered a country, but rather, an autonomous region of the UK. Even Google doesn't seem to be able to make up it's mind whether some of these places are considered countries or not...

30 odd on a quick count, probably more depending on how you define a country.

Most fun, probably China (regular visitor last 10 years).
Biggest doubts, Myanmar (Burma) in the early 90's.
Biggest scares and near misses, South Africa during a labour riot.
