The world is full of places we don't go if we don't fit or like who is there (or what they are saying). But it does not mean we don't like the people who go there, or that we should shut them all down. E.g. I can't stomach going to church services anymore. But I have good friends that do, and I don't exclude them or try to shut down their churches.

Essentially, we are not all the same. And the polite, civilised way to manage diversity is to allow people to do there own thing as long as it doesn't harm others. NOT shun them and/or lock them out.

Of course there is but they aren't a LR-RR community. And honestly the couple I've been to make the old soap box look like play school.

Nope sorry disagree....I'm so thankful the soapbox is gone and I dont want anything like that back here again and many many members would agree...

debate is healthy (which is why you have the cantina) attacking is NOT..please lets leave it at that, I know what went on in the area I moderated it with many others and it was not healthy as much as you may want to disagree with my view. if it was healthy members would not of taken forced holidays because of it of it.

About the only thing Id like to see is several more "quick link" searches or the ability to define your own.

Other than that I don't really have much I'd like to see changed.

Inc, I don't envy you in any way for your involvement in maintaining this forum, words just can't express how much I would dislike doing it fro so long.
However, I know the forum is G rated and there is a need to protect our precious. Little ears from evil and although I'm being a bit facetious, I do know that fruity language and concepts are not appreciated by some. But what I mostly see is a lot of petty overmoderating, I think the place would be a lot friendlier if people
Let weren't jumped on for minor infractions.
The sort thing I'm eluding to is when someone posts in the wrong forum, they get jumped on for this but the problem recurs time and time again. Why? Supposedly, these posters could be new to the forum and are not that familiar as to where things are, my suggestion would be to clean up the navigation so that new members could make the most out of the forum.
Maybe for a first offense at dodging the swear filter, a friendly note explaining that there is a swear filter on the system to protect those that may offended, so just type what you want to say and let the swear filter take care of it, after all, the first time it happens, they may be trying to self filter without being aware of the filter.

No problem, I knew you would disagree.

But you are missing the point. Inc asked for evolutionary suggestions and i guess he will do as he pleases with the feedback... My suggestion is to have an area that you don't have to go to. Somewhere where the younger passionate types can function freely and those more experienced and refined members can just stay away from.

Do a charter, refine the rules and let us back at both the harder more emotive topics and the pollies again. You don't have to hang out there if your not up to the challenge or the tone. None of you objecting to it were even involved from what i remember. Your version of a good debate is not how the rest of the world sees it. I don't agree do therefore I guess without meaning to be rude I am suggesting an area for people (not like your kind self) to engage in the political system.

Bugger me people its a bloody election year soon yet we can't even argue the different party policy and leadership positions.

Wait, it looks like inc has added a 'Your posts' button now !
Cheers for that Rick, and Ron
    Okay uhm...
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, bit slow on the uptake tonight
What goes in the wiki section?
"This is how you remove the head on a Td5"
    or
"This is how a Td5 works"?
like.... a how things work place or a how to fix them one?
Sorry if it's a silly question, but the more you know

In a simple one line question you still want to argue---
    You just don't get it,,
    this is NOT a democracy.
live by the rules or play elsewhere.
NOBODY likes a good argument as much as Inc,,
but the amount of grief caused by being civilized was way too much.

    am I expecting rebuttal?
you bet your ass I'm expecting rebuttal!
