'Whiter Shade of Pale' by Procol Harem. Great music,lyrics don't make any sense.and according to the writer wasn't intended to do so, which I kind of find amusing now.
Used to snog the young ladies in the back seat of the old Ford Zephyr to that song in the 1970's,thinking it had some deep sensuous meaning:). Still, it often gave the desired result:angel:
Another but more obscure oldy that i have come to like relatively recently is 'When I was Young' by Eric Burden and The Animals. The black and white Battle of Britain footage of the accompaying video clip was unique and suited the song for me.

Ooh, forgot the Australian one. 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' by Billy Thorpe. Although he was really a Brit anyway.
