Need to up grade my rear suspension 1997 110 Defender.

I have just fitted a Front Runner 40 litre water tank and a auxillary fuel tank and would like to know if any body else out there has done so. I would also like some info on what suspension up grades they have done. Cheers Big Les

As I sometimes have my slide-on camper fitted, but often have the tray empty, I decided that air bags inside the coils was the best solution for me. I just pump the air bags ups to about 20psi when the camper is fitted and let them down to 5psi when empty.

If you will often have the water tank and extra fuel tank empty and still want a good ride, that solution might be worth considering.

    another vote for polyairs

My 110 Defender also has front runner aux fuel tank and water tank , plus frontrunner spare wheel holder & the back usually has all my recovery & work stuff in it.

It had 130 rear helper springs but suffered lack of articulation.

removed and fitted polyairs inside original std rear springs and its perfect.
5 psi is all they need for the usual load plus articulation is great.
When fully loaded with camping gear and caravan on back I pump them up to btwn 15-20 psi and it all sits level.
