Thread: OK Danfoss compressors are DANISH

Danfoss are Danish but they have factories worldwide.
Some of the Danfoss gear I use comes from China, Mexico.....


Once upon a time it all came out of Denmark.

Danfoss has an annual sales turnover of 33.9 billion DKK (2011), is present in 55 countries and has 58 factories located in 18 countries.

Their TX valves and solenoid valves seem to now come from china.So far they seem to be same quality,time will tell though, i always found them good.

I have never liked their pressure switch/commercial thermostat range,don't know where they are made.

Their compresser range has always been good quality.

What scary said x2, still reckon Ranco Pressure and Temp controls are the best

Exactly,although i had a ranco dual p/s play up today brand new
Can't remember having a faulty new one ever before.

Oh,i don't mind those danfoss CPR & EPR valves,they are good as well

Their RT range of commercial/industrial t/stats, humidistats, etc were the Rolls Royce of mechanical controls, (and the pricing reflected it)
I used to use them in places where control was critical and electronics either didn't exist or were cost prohibitive (a long, long time ago) but their KP range have always been dodgy.

Agree on their CPR, EPR, etc valves.

Forgot about the RT range,some are still available today.They are excellent,some had gold contacts.

The most common problem we have with the KP range is chattering contacts,which then causes all sorts of other problems.

Bought a 60 lt camping fridge 12 years ago that has a Danfoss compressor in. Great compressor and never had a problem with it, runs for 3-4 days on an 80ah battery. Just pulled it out of the Disco tonight to stick the turkey in.
