A friend ran into this snake today and was wondering what it was. Any ideas?

By no means a snake expert, but it looks like a python of some sort going on the markings and shape of the head.

Looks to me like an Olive python. We saw one one time at Manning Point big 4 and it was a beautiful animal. Don't hurt it whatever you do!!!

It's defiantly a python, I can't quite tell from the photo but to me it looks like a diamond python, beautiful looking snake he looks quite healthy, what area are you near slunnie? Depending where you are it may also be a carpet python

Ok just had a better look at the pic on a computer not my phone and its defiantly not a diamond, what area was the photo taken?

Bit hard to tell from the photo. Were the markings the same as this? This is "Sammie" one of our residents. He/she is about 2 metres long & I found a skin between the water tanks that measured 3.9 metres.

We found this one recently while looking for the missing chicken I captured it and took it for a drive up the mountain.

Looks like it may have still been digesting your chicken,
